Note**: If this is your first playthrough, it's not recommended to use any of these mods. COM:Last Day I never tried, so I know nothing about it. And despite it's issues, it has been the most used mod, someone is always posting about it the most. The developers did state the mod is not the the worst mod, but not the greatest. 
It is not self supported and is used in Call Of Pripyat. Or Misery, and the mod has made that title real. I think it is the vehicle scrap yard on how it really looks. And even used some orginal maps from the promo test game, which was the very first title that was never used. They added some maps from the default game such is from SOC, CS, and COP. Never the less being self supported, I had played it, It is played from my mod list folder, not COP. The developers do not support the ideal of pirated games. Call of Chernobyl (COC) is a self support game, it just requiers to make sure you have a legal copy of the Call Of Pripyat game for a legal copy check. >When ever useing a mod always make sure you use the updated version or updated patches.
